Marcel LAVAL (1884-1981)   After the First World War Mr Marcel LAVAL, originally from the Perigord & wounded from the War, came to work in the Wine business near to Saint Emilion, as did many other people from Correze at this period.

Angèle (1908) & André GABART (1903-1957)   His son-in-law, Mr André GABART followed on in 1936 in association with Mr Paul FREYCHE. After his death in 1957, the company was run by his widow Angèle & then their son, Christian.

André LAVAL (1928)   At the same time, Mr André LAVAL, son of Marcel, distributed his wines from 1950 to private customers in the Eure. Thanks to the hard & meticulous work in his choice of wines & in their aging, he developped his customer base & their fidelity, helped from 1978 by his nephew, Patrick BOCQUET who became his successor.

Christian GABART (1932)   He directed a business of Negoce in Normandy which he passed on to his daughter, Marianne, & son-in-law, Patrick, in 1988.

Patrick (1955) et Marianne (1957) BOCQUET   In 1993, the 2 companies merged under the name GABART-LAVAL. This union made it possible to create a real wealth of wine as well as the continuity & competence of each company.

Pierre BOCQUET (1980)   Their son, Pierre, 5th generation, joined the family company in 2004 & is developping the export markets, notably Europe, USA & Asia.
