CHATEAU LA BESSANE
Margaux - Cru Bourgeois
  • La Bessane is a small property in the Margaux appellation. It differs from others by its atypical grape varieties, with a large percentage of Petit Verdot, which creates a wine out of the ordinary. This choice of grape varieties is a risky bet for a winemaker in the Medoc.
  • Very strong aromas of fruit, especially ripe blackcurrants, but also hints of wood & spices.
  • Rich in tannins, this is a wine to lay down.
  • Soil : Gravels, and Sand
Age of the vines : 30 years
    Wine Growing :
Raised in oak wood 12-15 months (1/3 of new oak)
