The Gabart-Laval Export Company is based in the town of Libourne, in the heart of the most prestigious vineyards on the right bank of the Bordeaux wine region. Founded in 1920, the company owes its success to the exceptional work of 5 generations of the same family. Its reputation is built on its selection of exceptional wines as well as on the long term personal relationships it nurtures with its suppliers and customers. Family, seriousness and consistency are at the heart of what makes Gabart-Laval Export a respected name in the region and in the world. Pierre Bocquet and Benoît Fleuré are now in charge of the family business. They are committed to continuing the tradition while insisting on the permanent search for new partnerships that will keep Gabart-Laval Export, on the eve of its 100th anniversary, at the highest level of the Bordeaux wine trade.
Born in the heart of the Bordeaux wine country, I am proud to represent the fifth generation of wine merchants of the Gabart & Laval family. From my ancestors I inherited a passion for the wines of our region of course, but also and above all a respect for the traditions and the craftsmanship that make Bordeaux wines the finest in the world.
My role within Gabart-Laval Export is to ensure that our values endure and that we remain a leader in our industry.
I am also the heir to the exceptional relationships established and nurtured for a century with winemakers from Bordeaux and our customers around the world.
Originally from Brittany, I am the son and grandson of artisan bakers and true epicureans! I grew up in a family where maintaining product quality and great customer service were at the heart of our lives.
Bordelais for more than a decade now, I quickly understood that I would turn my passion for wine into a career in this wine region my parents love so much. I still remember our Sunday dinners, spent pairing and tasting bottles of Saint Emilion or Pomerol.
I joined Pierre in 2010 to continue the international development of the company and bring a personal touch to this ancestral profession of negociant .
